Sasol's BEE investors are learning the hardest way

When 300 000 black subscribers took up Sasol's R25.9 billion black economic empowerment (BEE) offer for 10 percent of the company at the start of last month, they got a bargain. As the share traded at R397.50, subscribers paid only R366 on September 2.



But life has many twist and turns, and a lot has happened over the few intervening weeks.
