Sasol's profits soar

Sasol, the world's largest fuel from coal producer, on Monday reported a 50 percent increase in headline earnings per share to 38.09 rand in the year to end June 2008.

Earnings attributable to shareholders increased by 32 percent to R22.4-billion from R17.0-billion in the previous financial year, while earnings per share were up 36 percent over the same period to 37.30 rand.
