Sector charters can help to take BEE a step further
Contrary to certain views, sector charters are strategic vehicles through which the government can advance broad-based black economic empowerment (BEE).
Last month the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) announced the gazetting of three sector charters as final sector codes in terms of the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act.
