Shilowa's R20bn Gautrain silence
Premier Mbhazima Shilowa was the Gautrain's chief cheerleader, describing it as critical to Gauteng's global success. Now he is ducking questions about whether plans for the train - named in his honour - are on track or have been derailed...
The Shilowa Express has been hit by a number of controversies, and on Monday the premier refused to comment on severe criticism levelled at the province by a Johannesburg High Court judge about the R20-billion Gautrain tender process.
