Talks on New Legislation in Cape Town

A number of Chinese people born and bred in South Africa will now be able to be included in Employment Equity, Skills Development and Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) legislation.

The Pretoria High Court recently ruled that South African citizens of Chinese decent will be able to take advantage of BBBEE posts and business deals and qualify for full benefits in terms of the Employment Equity and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment legislation's. This has created mixed reactions from a number of groups in the market place.
