Tax, BEE hurt Medi-Clinic
TAX and a BEE deal knocked Medi-Clinic’s (JSE:MDC) headline earnings by 40% for its year-ended March 2006...
This was in line with a previous trading statement that prepared investors for a 40-50% decrease in headline earnings per share. This decrease is the result of an accounting entry for the company’s BEE deal, as well as tax charged on a special dividend paid during the year.
