Transformation in tourism makes business sense, says minister
The transformation of South Africa's tourism industry to include more black people makes business sense, Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk said today.
"It is clear that travellers are more likely to visit a country which encourages broad participation in tourism and ensures that benefits are shared equitably," he told delegates at the opening of the 2nd Annual Tourism BEE Conference in Cape Town.
