Transforming tourism 'sensible'
THE transformation of South Africa's tourism industry to include more black people makes business sense, Minister of Tourism Marthinus van Schalkwyk said on Friday.
"It is clear that travellers are more likely to visit a country which encourages broad participation in tourism and ensures that benefits are shared equitably," he told delegates at the opening of the Second Annual Tourism BEE Conference in Cape Town.
