Westcon SA gets new BEE partner - Datatec
JSE- and Aim-listed information and communication technology group Datatec announced on Wednesday that the Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC) has become the new broad-based black economic-empowerment (BBBEE) partner in its South African distribution business Westcon South Africa (Westcon SA).
Datatec acquired the minority stake in Westcon SA from the previous BEE partner, African Legend Computing, and MIC has subscribed for new shares in Westcon SA constituting 26% of the equity.
