York grows BEE stake to 39%

York Timber's black economic empowerment (BEE) shareholding has been increased to 39 percent after a R201.3 million transaction with one of the listed forestry company's existing BEE shareholders.

York said yesterday that Lereko Metier Capital Growth Fund had increased its stake from 4 percent to 14.1 percent through the purchase of 8 million York shares at R25.17 each.
