Zimbabwe allows BEE policy to lapse for now

Zimbabwe's Indigenisation and Empowerment Bill has been put on ice. The bill "lapsed" following the dissolution of Zimbabwe's parliament pending next month's elections.

Zimbabwe's clerk of parliament, Austin Zvoma revealed in a recent interview that bills that had not been finalised before the recent dissolution of the House would be dealt with by the new government after elections, adding that it will be upto that government to pursue the bills.
